The best pictures taken would show everything in full bloom... (That would be wrong, you may want to see the boundaries first). Also the amount of total land surface, as well as the actual land measurement! Land is always sold by looking straight down from above, (as if from an airplane). If you are going to place an airport on this land you would pay more if it was very flat... If you wanted to raise cattle, the amount of "surface" grazing would now be more important for what you are paying for... (If the land had a big hill in the middle for instance, the surface area or amount of grass would be the most important, meaning you would be expected to pay more per acre). This land is more suitable for the use of free energy provided by the sun, wind, and water. The legal land dimensions of 200 by 300 feet are wrong, the surface measurements are closer to 247 by 322 feet, when running a tape both directions from the top left corner of this property! If you were to climb the tree where the arrow shows in this picture, and were then looking Northwest... you would be almost 60 feet in the air before being level with Lot F at the top of the hill.
Also notice where the sun melts the snow, or where it does not reach, down by the creek! See my car, and above it to the south, the steep cliff going up is the edge of the property...
The 2nd picture, (taken from three steps to the right... and looking down the Spring Creek Road), shows the creek bed and the south edge of this property. You may also see the double-tree at the very left edge of this picture... (It is shown almost at the far right on #1). It has an antique wood-burning stove, (about 1910 style), resting against it at this time... Too heavy to be removed by hand! The flat area at the bottom of this property has a stream running through it all year long... but less water than normal in August, depending on how well the springs are still running! (It is fed by a total of seven springs, some of which are on the surface for many miles by this time... The water in the warmest time is no longer very cold at all, especially by mid July). The next picture, taken in 1997... from almost the top end of the west side, while standing in the roadway. (I was standing where the road splits to go down).
(A bad storm had just broken the top half of four of the fifty or so tallest trees... the road was blocked). In this picture are two of the cars my children had parked there, which were now blocked in for a while! The next picture was taken from the tree that was in the road... and looking the other way. (The white car is almost at the west edge of the property line... the road ends about 50 yards beyond). That road ends at a very famous place, where many babies were made!
(Back in the 1980's I got some very interesting "surveillance" video), while trying to find out who was leaving all those beer bottles at the campfire "turn-around" deep in that forest. Now, 20 some years later... I could make some embarrassing wedding videos of several local couples, and show why their parents had to get married, and even show when some in the wedding party were conceived. (Also I could stop the wedding, if a half-sister is about to unknowingly marry her own brother)! At the time I gathered up all those beer bottles... some containing the used broken rubbers after each party, I was only saving them for the fingerprints... Now I guess they could be used for DNA to find out if the right guys married the right pregnant girls! (A good example is when football stars knock up cheerleaders there... and then the girls winds up marrying the only one who will have the "loose woman", often one of the water boys). One of my kids and a few of my help foolishly mentioned this fact to others while learning how to drink free in Deadwood! It is no wonder the local kids have been doing all that damage to anything I left on this property after that... (They enjoy pushing every car, trailer, camper, lawn mower, or anything else... down that hill ever since). You must understand... we were not considered "local" people, and do not have the same rights as those who were! Most people who are born in this area... (and especially if their parents were born here), have full rights... so they say anyway! (All others who move here... like us, have few rights to really own property, or even the right to protect it :-) Our family did not know this at first... and after the prostitution was officially ended in the 1980's it was not as much of a problem, (mostly because the town began to fall apart, much local investment was sold off). I on the other hand, had fallen in love with this town... clear back in the fifties in fact, when my father brought me to Deadwood each summer. (I never missed a summer here until the late sixties... when I went to College, then off to war for a few years! I missed it and vowed to move here before I even met Pam, who has never really liked the strange attitude of people from here... She has often had to choose to ignore some of the wicked things that some people pretending to be righteous have done in the dark of night). I was also never able to invest in any cheap unwanted property until this opportunity came along, when we were selling our motor home after summer vacations were no longer possible. I should have known better than to attempt to control such valuable land without any local connections, although we did have a relative here during the gold rush, it appears that was another one that did not survive the wicked ways of this area! (He never picked up his mail after May of 1876... and being another lowly Irishman among many, was never heard from again). If he had survived those times, and helped to tame this town or rebuild it a few times... we would have more rights in this area now! The standard I have heard most often is that to be a "local" you must have someone in the cemetery with an arrow in them... or have someone in your family living here for various rebuilds before the trains came in 1893! (This "quote" changes with the passing of time... before 1893 it was stated you are not a "local" unless you were here before, and stayed for the rebuild, of the fires of '78 and 1879. In modern times it was only if you were here before gambling was legalized in 1988). I have always tried to keep an open mind on such nonsense, but at times allowed myself to get caught up in it. One of those times was when a person who could "hear things" up in my old cemetery once showed me a foot marker stating the maiden name of the woman buried there with my last name on it. At the time I was surprised it was discovered and the overburden was removed to even find it in this forgotten part of Deadwood. I have never found it again, but soon this cemetery will be completely redone and it will be logged in by those doing it... That is not really important though, only the last names of the men mattered back then! (Even as late as the 1980's there were only two ways new-comers could be totally accepted in Deadwood, this is part true yet to this day if big money is involved... You can either rule out of fear, or you can over-rule the fear). In other words you can buy a controlling share in one of the hotel/casinos... using the count room to do the "other" laundry and skim your cut! (Then use that money to over rule or buy out any problems with the locals). I have just obtained more information showing many other wicked things done within the last four years, since some new bad people arrived. (The crimes and wicked behavior is almost a carbon copy of what was happening during the wild times of the drugs and mini-skirts in the 1970's! That time it went all the way to a federal level before it was over... the Feds moved in and ended prostitution). That emptied the town of all profits under the table in unreported cash, and that caused many to promote other things with gay men, cheap drugs, and gambling behind locked doors. Having no dirty money from the sale of drugs or girls, I guess I used a different approach to hold my own in this game of life here... but in a somewhat devious manner according to those unaware of my long term interest in the video industry! (Using any form of video was very limited in this area years ago)... I think I had the only personal video camera in town until 1986, and except for the bank, was the only one using video for surveillance until 1990. I think I made the original purchase of the only portable video cameras sold in the entire Midwest during the seventies... (First a reel to reel with a black and white camera using infrared night vision, and later on buying the first "personal use" color tube type camera in 1976. I also had the first CartiVision, Vue-Matic and infrared setup that I know of outside of the military or the FBI... I still have them in my attic). NOTE: Please do not burn me out again, all the incriminating tapes remain in a safe location out of state, and they will go to the national news people if I should disappear unannounced... (Sometimes people around here talk a great deal about doing harm to someone, often the kids hear parts of those conversations! They do not know it is normally just idle talk and often take matters into their own hands. The kids are actually far more dangerous to many foolish people... even the youngest, who are not capable of doing serious bodily harm or major lasting damage... They can still get together with older gangs and show them a new target at times, or use their young age and small size to go place others would be questioned. Nobody notices them and they are for the most part considered harmless, with the exception of fires they have started)! The devious tapes I shot of bad behavior were not actually recorded or analyzed with any malicious intentions... I was just trying to record who was doing the most damage to my property and later to my children's extra cars! Most of the damage was done in the dark, it was impossible to get a close-up of faces, unless you zoomed the video in on the party area where the large campfire was. (This area was located at the end of the main road going through the land, just a few yards beyond the property line). NOTE: All tapes or other evidence will not be a part of this land deal either... you can make your own enemies! As time went by, almost all video equipment I used was either worn out, stolen, or ruined... in fact sometimes older batteries failed me as well. (These days theft from my property, the one below, on about March 4th of 2006, is not even recorded or reported. I have no friends left with the law and they seem to enjoy hearing about my loses, but only let it be know how angry it appears I am about it). I must offer $100 reward for the name of both boys who stole this tiller...
Notice the belt-guard is missing, I have it... along with the serial number! (Any information will be rewarded, no prosecution is required... we deal with people the best way we can, at times it is even someone related to the law found to be the thief)! The local cops around here are mostly worthless when it comes to defending anything belonging to me or mine... I already know of a few of their kids who were found to be responsible for some of our damage! Imagine that... what have I ever said or done to make them mad??? COP originally stood for Constable or Commissioner Of Peace... In Deadwood some say it simply stands for Con-artist Or Politician! (And Deadwood has more cops per capita than Beirut Lebanon). In their defense, I must add not all are bad... it is just that too many of them missed out on too much easy money the last 20 years and remain greedy! NOTE: This picture was taken from the middle of lot C... looking to the Northeast. (Only perennial grass remains here now). When we bought the property there was some poison ivy in a few places above and below this area, it is gone now! We had to apply several years of spot treatments of 2 4 D with the fertilizer... We even used the last remaining stock of Agent Orange in the mid nineties... no residue remains at this time, I was very careful. NOTE: This mention of Agent Orange has got me in more trouble lately with ignorant people within the court system. Agent Orange was widely used during the Vietnam war to defoliate the forest from airplanes. It can also be called 2 4 5 T, and was labeled for brush control or deep-rooted hard to kill perennials like poison oak. About the time we began working on the overgrowth on this land we had a visit from my brother in law. (He was a pilot during that war and we flew over Deadwood in his private plane to get some good video and pictures of what the land looks like from above). He told me years before he still had some 2 4 5 T in stock and had brought it with him on this trip... We applied some in a small problem area on the bottom part of lot B... The area I wanted to dig into without danger later, the area that had caused Jennifer the outbreak on her legs that cost her a good job and made her want to sell the land and be done with it. In court the bad people put this together to make it appear I was bombing Deadwood with chemicals or something! (We applied it with a garden sprayer and used up the last of his supply before the chemical was banned). IF needed I can prove, on record since 1967, that I have been certified with proper EPA clearance to apply "restricted use" chemicals in seven categories... including ponds, creeks and waterways. (Both private and commercial... my father and one of my brothers still sell and apply millions of dollars worth of that stuff each year). Since 1996 we have all put in a great deal of time and effort to balance the PH levels and rid the land of all noxious weeds and plants, originally we had planned to live out the rest of our lives here and my family was glad to help out in this matter. (I also have some records of what it would have cost for such work to have been done by another professional). NOTE: All this work has also been for nothing... I had to kill everything on this land, after working so hard for a decade to kill only the bad stuff. (The new owners of the house have decided to keep the grass and weeds on their property neat and groomed at 4 inches or less all during the growing season, that requires about 2 man-hours per week most of the summer. (But it would be more than a full time job to do the same thing for all of my property around them, which is what they then request that I do each summer)! The kicker on that one was when their help then broke into my van on the property and took both of my gas-powered weed eaters... The only thing left to do was apply some Roundup and dactal to prevent any growth until I could figure out a way to fight that phase of their plan to get my land away from me. (That was partly done, before someone took all the remaining chemical out of the back of my pickup after they saw what I was using... I just hope they do not cut their coke with a 25 pound $400 bag of fine white powder they got from me that day. Dactal only prevents growth of some things and is pre-emerge control only. I do not know for sure but I think it will do much more damage if snorted... with or without cocaine added to it. The next picture is taken looking back to the west, from below lot E
The area bordered in red at one time was a part of the road coming down from lot B... The location I was standing at, in the top half of this "10 year double-take" shows some loose fill dirt... It has been there since they dug the hole for the septic tank and came from lot D, this dirt has yet to be removed and destroyed the ability to continue up or down the hill with a pickup after dumping. (They did this on purpose, according to the lady that walked this trail every day for many years after the second world war). This picture also shows some of the fruit trees and berry bushes that were planted by someone along each path. (On the trail just above the fill soil is where the perennial parts of the garden remains). In that picture I am standing where trucks backed up to the edge dropping down to the town dump... Originally more than a 20 foot drop over a naturally formed large rock, directly south of the house on lot E. The garbage shown here originally was part of a shed on lot D, now again owned by outsiders. Years later some friends built a temporary shelter out of this garbage for an abused girl they were trying to hide from the men in her family... Some of it still remains in the picture, below that old bush with all the thorns... that now has only one major branch left. (The other one went down in a big snow). By the time the second picture was taken we had also cleared the trail, and found the bones of something missing for years while doing it... The next picture is looking back up this trail from Spring Creek road.
Notice the picnic area at the edge of the children's swimming part of the pond... where the flat snow is deepest! One of our solar plans show the roof of a four story building constructed here could be the parking area for that van in this picture! (You can also see the little house on lot E if you look close). This same day I took another shot from midpoint of the land while walking down this road. Notice the dump! (I have not disturbed the dump area much below the home yet... but others have said it goes down a long way).
The original dam was located just upstream from that metal flood-prevention framework. (3 trails are still visible below the home). During the dark part of one winter just lately that house sold again? (For many years a number of investors have owned it, all they did was pour money into it, and threw all the mess over the hill onto my land every time it was destroyed again)... I thought this would be an improvement, but I just have a different kind of a problem now! They also bought School lot 70, to the east, hoping to never have any neighbors to complain about I guess! But the first thing I noticed was extra cars blocking the road going along the edge of the Cemetery, now owned by the City. (She wanted my land too, but after I refused she told a friend she could block all access I had to all parts of my land). Actually, according to the lawyers, Emanate domain laws prevent either of us from blocking access to any roadway placed over one hundred years ago, also what is declared as an easement for city roadways... (Most rules are simple here! You must be allow to get to your property). I was hoping to get along but, at the same time our family remains stubborn enough to just wait for another owner to come along. The situation was analyzed by my people and it was voted 2 to 1 in favor of using that very large rock above the dump to be the foundation of the new proposed dam. (The dam it appears, can be legally replaced... to return the land back to the original way it was after the gold rush came). Now, it also appears, that big rock just happens to be supporting her new deck and part of the house at this time... But, after all, it is on my land. This could get very interesting... but at least I will get some great video! That last paragraph got me into some big trouble in court, and now I cannot go within fifth feet of that shack for five years. (And I have a backhoe, bobcat, and 4 ton trailer land-locked until I get a successful appeal). The large rock is only about four feet by seven feet... I was just going to use a fancy enlargement program to make some interesting video. It looks like I have plenty of time to work on that video, and in 2014 the diesel fuel will need replaced before I can start up the machines and continue to make my way to the dump. My wife also says I will not be causing any trouble in any else's paradise for a while now? (Ask anyone that has caused trouble for me in the past... trouble then becomes my middle name)! I normally do not pick a fight with anyone these days... I'm getting too old for that. Although an Irish temper is still present if provoked, I need peace these days more than money! And my wife is too tired to fight any women I cannot deal with in business. (Don't get me wrong I normally do not attempt to fight with any woman... I have never won any of those battles yet either, no matter who started them! I normally let my wife fight those battles... and since then she had never lost until this last battle)! The woman that beat her also attempted to do a "Paul Bunyon" on the mountain above the homes several of our family owns in the Presidential section of town. (That might have buried the entire area with a mud-slide)! The city and those living in this area are fighting the plan, and it appears the city has taken over ownership of the proposed area on the hillside, they did not beat her either but I think it was a draw at least... (Someone else must now keep an eye out for what they may try to do when nobody is watching at some later date)! This group has also purchased a number of other homes in many areas... some very much in need of repair! Most of them still remain an eye-sore to many of my friends! They continue to rent these homes to people now at the mercy of angry controllers... And also continue to make new enemies... Like stealing a Bo-Flex still on payments from one of our "adopted" daughters, along with other typical slum-lord activities. (I am compiling a list of stolen items by this group and it amazes me that they are so brash in their dealings in such a small community... They even removed some antique gambling tables owned by the City of Deadwood. This could have a bad ending for everyone involved). Good thing they only remain in town for short periods of time! STAY TUNED... or buy into this land if you want to be more than a small part of the experience!

An alternate plan is to place a number of 10 X 12 units... (they require no approval). More information will be posted after the work has been completed this fall... NOTE: That plan did not work either... all 3 small storage area were removed and we are fighting to get the stuff in them returned. The camera is still missing too!
