Glory... Nothing to do with the word, only who got it, and why! (And a few more links placed later).

This is an over-used word around Deadwood... for good reason, many should have received awards for what they have done here, other should be in prison or dead because of it... (You sort them out, I don't care much anymore). It reminds me of those words in the "good book" about this subject. The story is always the same, people standing on the corner beating their drum... they want all to know every proud thing they have done, but none of the wrong! According to the bible this kind of individual gets their reward right then, if they are convincing enough. If not they get nothing, but they continue to toot their own horn until they are dead, and then again... they get nothing...
Glory seeking has a lot to do with greed and that is a terrible thing in our society, it is one of the 7 deadly sins... It cannot be forgiven sometimes either. Be very careful when you even discuss things involving glory, less you be dammed as well. I suffer at times with this sin, often needlessly, and also anytime I get involved with others who suffer from it more than I.
As I get older, and closer to death, I worry about it more than I did anytime before during my life. I notice most others do as well, very little can be do about it either...
