The first evening they held the Grand Ball at the fairgrounds in Hardin, in spite of the rain!

It was a chilly night, and everything got a bit damp...
All were in good spirits though, and fixed a fine breakfast.

Preparing for the show was the hard part... Many spend a great deal of time warming up the horses.

The second day offered some great opportunities for good pictures up close.
Although I was also in the show I did get a few pictures and some video!

It is very hard to get good shots of the actual battle, (I have poor zoom on my still camera).
These shots are zoomed with the computer, (and the focus is not very clear).
In the past I have hide in the bushes across the river... (very dangerous due to all the loose horses)!
